A local United Methodist Church in Greenville, South Carolina needed to promote a men’s small group at the church. The challenge was incorporating the religious sincerity of the group together with a modern design look and feel. Prompt needed to design a logo that would generate awareness of the group within the congregation and increase the group’s overall membership.

During the design process, we examined the church’s current marketing literature and began determining how to effectively promote this church group. We met with the leaders of the group to find out more about their target audience and learn about the specific value and activities of the group.

In the logo, we chose a strong font and incorporated the image of a man with open arms to promote a positive image of masculinity. We also darkened the church’s distinct light blue color to make this more appealing to men within the church. The church used this logo in several brochures and other marketing literature.
